The role of Commercial finance manager is to work with our clients who primarily operate in the online gaming sector to optimise their current finance and operational structure. Our client is continually releasing new products which are leading it to experience exponential growth which is expected to continue for the foreseeable future to see it become a major player in the online gaming sector.

Job Description 

  • Review the current monthly process regarding revenue and direct cost recognition. Suggest further developments to the process in order to improve both accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
  • Assist with application for operational licenses in new territories.
  • Work closely with CFO and FC to build out a new monthly reporting structure and finance pack.
  • Work on various projects as required (new finance/ERP system implementation, decommissioning of Dropbox, introduction of horse racing to the exchange to name but a few)
  • Work with the FC to develop a rolling quarterly departmental and entity forecast.
  • Monthly reporting of the departmental budget v actuals. Business partner with the departmental managers so as they better understand the revenues and costs associated with their area and provide timely variance analysis.
  • Assist FC with monthly review and preparation of Group Management Accounts (7 companies and group).
  • Business partner with Data Analytics and Operations to improve the communication and workflow between both teams and Finance.
  • Business partner with external third parties who we engage with throughout the year, mainly payment processors / new content providers to improve the reporting between companies.
  • Adhoc works as requested from CFO and FC.
  • Management of gaming regulators ratios.

Essential Core Requirements /Skills 

  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years gaming industry experience.
  • Experience of peer to peer gaming (required).
  • Detailed working knowledge of Qlikview system.
  • Previous involvement in new regulatory -license applications (Australian territories, extremely advantageous)
  • MS Excel advanced skills required (Macros advantageous)
  • Experience in selecting and migrating to a new ERP system.
  • Experience in business partnering with non-finance teams.
  • Advanced user in Qlikview reporting tool.
  • Proven track record in implementing process improvements in a business.
