Chief Operating Officer

 

Act as a key member of the Matchbook Leadership Team, the Chief Operations Officer will collaborate in the development and implementation of Company strategy, business plans and budgets and contribute in setting best operational practice,

 

Key responsilbilities will include -

  • Driving the organization to achieve and surpass mission perimeters, business goals, objectives and all expectations.
  • To develop and deliver a strong Strategy for Operations, Product, Payments, Fraud/Compliance and Casino for the business.
  • Responsible for ensuring each function within the business fully complies with its licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with Shareholders and key partners.
  • Provide day to day leadership and management across the business.
  • Undertake value added research and analysis of industry trends, market conditions, competitive market, legislation and technology needed for business planning and the decision making process. Ensures timely and meaningful market research information and feedback is communicated to influence stakeholders and to produce products that will maximize revenue and profit goals.
  • Source, establish and implement new operational business and expansion activities including investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.
  • Support and challenge the Operations, Product, Fraud & Compliance and Casino Management team in establishing and fine-tuning success metrics and key performance indicators for their respective operations in order to improve profitability.
  • Ensure continuous and overall cost efficiency and quality across the business.
  • Provide clear and accountable operational objectives, development plans, improvements and status reports to executives, internal stakeholders and business partners
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills, both practiced and impromptu.
  • Ability to comfortably and energetically present the organization and its programs and services publicly.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high-level understanding of all business functions such as Legislation, IT, HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Aptitude in sound decision-making and problem-solving in pressure situations.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and staff.
  • Set comprehensive high level goals for performance and growth in line with the business plan. 
  • Write and submit reports to the CEO and Board of Directors on all matters of importance.
  • Lead and promote Matchbooks company culture, vision, and values & behaviours.

 

Experience and personal  attributes

 

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years experience in Operations Management Role. Ideally with comprehensive knowledge of the online gaming industry.
  • Strong relationship skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • An individual of integrity who with enjoys working in a culture where ethics and standards are highly valued.
  • The ability to influence both peers and the wider organisation whilst maintaining a cohesive dynamic.
  • Has an understanding and experience in a regulated environment.
  • Can demonstrate experience in driving growth and increasing enterprise value
  • An effective communicator, both orally and in writing, to a range of audiences. 
  • Ability to make accurate yet fast decisions with limited, complex or conflicting information.
  • A keen eye for detail, accuracy and strong critical thinking skills with advanced judgement capability.
  • Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills; needs to excel in fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and possess excellent ability to keep calm and collected during times of high pressure.
